Join us for the biggest ball in the basin, and one of the Raglands biggest fundraising events of the year. The Red Tie Masquerade is on February 25th, 2023 at 5:30PM. This will be the first time post covid that the Ragland has the opportunity to host a red tie event, and it will be bigger and better than ever before.
For the first time ever, the event will be in the form of a masquerade ball on the Ragland auditorium stage. Guests will truly feel like they’re in a fairy tale, with performances from the theater’s education program, and a local DJ. Guests are highly encouraged to dress in their best ball gowns and suits, for a night full of fun and prizes for fanciest dresses, best couple, and more.
People can also purchase beads for $25 a piece for a chance to play and win in a game of heads and tails. The more beads bought means the more chances to win, and people will have the opportunity to take home more great prizes. This will also be the first time the theater hosts a hybrid auction. The virtual auction will be open a month prior to the night of the event, and items will be in-person the night of the event. All of the auction items will be from businesses around the basin.
Catering for the event this year will be handfoods from Clarabell’s Catering. All proceeds from the event go back into running the theater’s eight youth education programs, such as the after school classes, summer theater camps, and artists that travel to the schools.
The event is for ages 18 and up.
